Since our new Website is online we've had almost every day a new spammer registering on the Website.

Now after reviewing the used E-Mail Provider I thought I should block Gmail registrations because 80% of the spammers use a Gmail account, but on the second thought I figured that a General AntiSpam added to our Registration form should suffice.

So from now on if you register excuse the little mathematical challenge you are presented with.
Further more, if you have already registered and use a Gmail account and have not yet been activated please use our Contact form to inform us about your account name or E-Mail so we can activate your account.

As from now on Star Trek Online is free to play, and we at darkMatter are going to take a look at it, and of course write about it.

So you will get a brief and good overview of the game, without installing STO your self.
Our Article will focus how to install and get started with Star Trek Online, lining out the basic things that have to be done and considered when playing STO.

We also like to give you some tips, things you should and things you should not do, to help get a good start into the world of Star Trek Online.

New Website

We are happy to announce, that we have finally updated our Website!

The update was over due since 2009, we have just not gotten around to it until now. We hope you like the new Design!

The new Design was created by Modboy and Chriss, Ardragoon has transfers the Articles from the Old Clan Website. This new Website is powered by Joomla CMS, which means, that we are no longer using the old DZCP CMS system any longer.

Some features might be missing, but we will try to find substitutes for the most important features we are used to having. We integrate the new modules and features in the next few weeks, with the priority on a Personal Messaging System, Download System and Pool System.

How ever, the old website will remain online (www.darkmatter-clan.com/dzcp) until we satisfied with the state of this new website.

Today L4d2 is on offer for 5€ on steam

As you might know that is another game we play.

The game is well worth the 5€ considering that it features 5 campaigns with each splitted up in multiple maps.

You can't do much wrong by buying it!

Elite Force 2 - Server list gone...

And once again the Activision Master Server for Elite Force II (EF2) has disappeared...

...naturally when retrieving the server list in-game, it will now come up empty. No servers will be displayed, but that doesn't mean that the servers are not running any more.

GSIO has provided a new Masters Server for EF2, the only two problems are that nor the sever or the client use that new Master server automatically.

• For windows users we have a tool that will alternate between the Activision and the New Master server from GSIO. Download it, start it and it will do the work for you.
  
  
• For mac users we have a tutorial available
  
  
• For server hosts the instructions are quite simple, open your server-config file and add 1 new line:
  set sv_master2 ef2master.gdev-rp.org

Please note that it may take up to 30 sec in the connection screen before you will actually be allowed to enter any server.

This is due to the servers still trying to authenticate your copy of the game, which they can't since the Activision Authentication Server is down as well. After 10 to 30 sec they give up and let you connect unauthenticated.
